The whole gobal concept sux.
At least if you can't make a global global. eg. by using the global keyword in a declaration in
global scope.
Now I remember why I stopped using REXX and used Perl. You end up having one global
stem<->array.
If I make something global there is a good reason for that.
I simply don't want to passthrough $DEBUG into every function.
