if (!empty($HTTP_GET_VARS)) while(list($name, $value) = each($HTTP_GET_VARS)) $$name = $value;
if (!empty($HTTP_POST_VARS)) while(list($name, $value) = each($HTTP_POST_VARS)) $$name = $value;
This may also be used as a temporary substitute.
Either that or:
ini_set("register_globals", 1);
Both at the top of the script.
