| Request: | Send a blank email to php-notes+get-31896@lists.php.net to get a copy of this message | ||
$send= @mail($recipient, $subject, $content,
$headers);
if($send){
echo "Your form has been submited with the following content:";
echo $content;
} else {
echo "An error ocurred while processing your form. Please contact the systems's
administrator.";
}
A strange thing happens with this code. As you can see the var $content is sent as message and
echoed to the user.
The strange thing is that the content shown to the user is correct, but in the content received by
mail there is an extra exclamation mark (!) placed quite randomly ( I realised that the place it
went depended on the amount of data from message).
I tried extra headers and all your advises but the "!" still appears, only in the email,
though the var is the same.
That wouldn't be a problem if I didn't use HTML mails. Sometimes the "!" goes
inside an HTML tag and ruins the content.
Hope you can help me.
