I spent more than 1 day troubleshooting a financial formula, then i found out that 2^3 = 1 in php!
not 8 i dont understand why the php developers didnt think of a standard way of doing this why
create a pow function? perl uses ** operator 2**3=8 , excel uses the ^ operator 2^3=8, and php the
pow function... pow(2,3)=8
