When using PHP 4.2.1 with OpenLDAP 2.1.2 I was having problems with binding to the ldap server. I
found that php was using an older protocol and added the following to the slapd.conf:
allow bind_v2
See ``man slapd.conf'' for more info about the allow item in the slapd.conf file, this is
all I know! :)
