the trick: /{$varname}/ doesnt work for me. that is my whole match string and i have tried
it:<pre>
preg_replace("/{$varname}/",$replacement,$string);
preg_replace("/{$varname}/" ditto
ditto "/{$varname}/"
ereg_replace("{$varname}", $replacement, $string);
and the rest of the obvious ones.
