Section "Usefull":
i am adding these 3 for u
http://FReemIRC.com/miki/php4apache2.dll
http://Rafigh.com/miki/php4apache2.dll
http://IRan4You.com/miki/php4apache2.dll
Download and replace it, with the existing one in your
"x:\php\sapi"
AFTER THAT change/add these lines to htppd.conf
LoadModule php4_module x:\php\sapi\php4apache2.dll
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
but where?
-just scrolling through the file, at just about the begining of it, U will
se many lines that start with
LoadModule and
#LoadModule
just after all that, add the 2 lines.
DO NOT simply copy and paste the lines, there are changes to be made.
1st line: the drive letter and the folder name, "x:\php", change
the drive letter and the folder name to the drive letter and folder name
which u have unzipped/installed PHP to. If you didnt copy-paste it there,
dont forget, the file name is "php4apache2.dll" WITH A 2!
2nd line: at the end of the line you will see ".php", right?
thats the extensions u like to be regarded as PHP!!
U can add more file extensions there, lets say ".php3",
".phtml". all what you need is to put a space between them like
this:
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .phtml .php3

I did exactly what was pointed out above, but I still have the problem, that when I execut a
test.php file just nothing happens.
System: WinXP
PHP + Apache: the dreadful 4.2.1 - 2.0.39 alliance
After reading through all the other notes I have 2 questions now which I'd like to ask (though
they will out me as a complete newbie I'm afraid ;)
1.) it is often said that you need to compile PHP for apache using a very certain command often
pointed out ... how is that recompiling done unter WinXP?
2.) There was also some talking about virtual directories which you must configure or somehting in
order to execute your .php files.
Where can I configure virtual directories and what is the importance of them?
For any help I'd be REALLY grateful.
Thanks ahead and have a nice day
