I am connecting to an informix database with php through a load balancer. We are trying to use
persistent connections (they save about a half a second per page load) but occassionally one of the
connections "go bad". The <PRE>ifx_pconnect</PRE> returns a connection handle,
but the handle is stale. <BR>
Is there any way to close a persistent connection if it is stale and re-establish it?
