Regarding the while($c=$s[$tmp++]) issue - assuming PHP executes this statement the same way C++
does, it's generating an error while trying to evaluate $s[$tmp++]. It doesn't return
false, it throws an out-of-bounds error; while doesn't even get a chance to process it.
