I tried to install Apache 2.0.39 and PHP 4.3.0-dev on Linux Mandrake 8.0
Configuration:
Apache 2.0.39
PHP Version 4.3.0-dev with Zend Engine v.2.0.0-alpha2
Configure Command './configure' '--with-mysql' '--with-apxs2'
When I launch "make" command I see:
/bin/sh libtool --silent --mode=compile gcc -Isapi/apache2filter/
-I/tmp/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/sapi/apache2filter/ -DPHP_ATOM_INC
-I/tmp/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/include -I/tmp/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/main
-I/tmp/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2
-I/usr/local/apache2/include -I/tmp/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/Zend
-I/tmp/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/ext/xml/expat
-I/tmp/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/TSRM -g -O2 -prefer-pic -c

make: *** [sapi/apache2filter/sapi_apache2.lo] Error 1
To resolve this problem edit <PHP4.3.0-dev-source>/sapi/apache2filter/sapi_apache2.c file as
follow.
On function php_register_hook() edit lines 567 and 568:
[567] change ap_register_output_filter("PHP", php_output_filter, NULL, AP_FTYPE_RESOURCE);
to ap_register_output_filter("PHP", php_output_filter, AP_FTYPE_RESOURCE);
[568] change ap_register_input_filter("PHP", php_input_filter, NULL, AP_FTYPE_RESOURCE);
to ap_register_input_filter("PHP", php_input_filter, AP_FTYPE_RESOURCE);
then prompt "make" and "make install".
Bye, merlos.
