I have written a script that is to be installed on multiple servers. The script reports back to a
mysql database on one particular server. I have found that when the code is run on the same server
as the mysql database, if I specify the hostname instead of just "localhost" mysql just
hangs at the login. I would like to not have different versions of the script: i.e. have them all
connect to "whateverhost.com"
Anyone encounter this before, or have any suggestions?
