I got the former snippet to work with a do while statement, this was a brain wreck:
foreach($files as $key => $value)
do {
if (strchr($value,".")) {
echo "<a href=$value>$value</a><br>\n";
break;
}
else {
echo "<a href=$value/>$value</a><br>\n";
break;
}
} while(0);
Use it.
