Do you have problems connecting PHP4.0.1pl2 (Apache 1.3.12, FreeBSD 3.2) to MSSQL 7.0 (Win NT) ?
Here's the quide how I did it...
.) get FreeTDS 0.50
.) ungzip and untar
.) ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/freetds --with-tdsver=4.2 --enable-dbmfix
.) gmake
.) gmake install
.) ldconfig -m /usr/local/freetds/lib (repeat this step after each reboot or update appropriate
startup file)
.) get apache 1.3.12
.) ungzip and untar
.) ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache --enable-module=so
.) make
.) make install
.) get PHP 4.0.1pl2
.) ungzip and untar
.) ./configure --with-sybase=/usr/local/freetds --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs
.) cd ext/sybase
.) joe sybase.c
.) replase all occurances of 'dbopen' with 'tdsdbopen'
.) make
.) make install
Well, now you should be able to use mssql_*() functions ....
