Oops, i had made a BIG mistake (even if i don't see the relationship between my error and its
result, but anyway).
I just had ommitted to destroyimage($digits), which is a previously used image... Never forget to
destroy your images!!!
And sorry for posting too fast :( Maybe my post will help out some people...
