This may seem like overkill, but I have used a combination of the time()
and md5() functions to great success when trying to completely prevent
caching of pages and not just display the timestamp.
$cachekiller = md5(time());
then include as a hidden variable in forms or just append to the end of a
url
?cachekiller=" . $cachekiller . "
in the case of images, specifically banners,
include in the following way
<img src="imagedisplay.php/" . $cachekiller .
"/.gif">
