Any ideas on how to use this to truncate a string to a certain length. I have a field in a mysql table of type TEXT/BLOB... the length is not specified for such types but I would like to return only the first 220 characters. Any ideas. Thanks in advance. -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.substr.php http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+24673 http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+24673 http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+24673
