I tried using the mail() function, and seems to work fine in the sense that it sends out the email
to the intended receipients with all the defined headers. That is not the problem for me - the
problem is that whenever I run a PHP script that calls the mail() function, the script produces
these 2 lines as the output on the terminal:
X-Powered-By: PHP/4.0.4
Content-type: text/html
Normally, this should not be a problem, but I run this script from the crontab, and whenever this
script runs and outputs these 2 lines, I receive an automated notification email from my domain host
giving me the output of the cron job (as if it were an error).
So, I was wondering if there is any way to suppress these notification messages, which do not even
provide any use here.
Thanks.
