I don't think this function is compiled by default in the Windows binaries... I was trying to
determine and print a file's type during a readdir() loop. Here's the alternative code
that I came up with:
if (ereg(".txt$",strtolower($file))){$filetype="Text File";}else
if (ereg(".php$",strtolower($file))){$filetype="PHP Document";}else
if (ereg(".jpg$",strtolower($file))){$filetype="JPEG Image";}else
...
