How can I create a random banner ad generator?

ad('<a href=""><img src=""></a>';
'<a href=""><img src=""></a>';
'<a href=""><img src=""></a>';

then when i want to call the banner i use <? echo = $banner; ?> or something to display
it.
I'm new to php, so please write me the entire code, thanx!
