[Editor's note: The show_source() (and related functions) do not "convert to HTML"
but perform syntax colorization on the input string (or file)]
To convert some file name to html and save it's contents to a string, try this.
$source = show_source('/htdocs/file.php', TRUE);
echo $source;
show_source()'s second parameter by default is FALSE which means to show the file contents on
it's own. By setting it to TRUE it returns the file contents as a string.
