I'm wondering if it is possible to use the php executable to handle searches from an off-line
page through GET or POST methods.
What I'm trying to do is create a web-based CD that can do a search from a database or flat
file and present the results in HTML format.
Thus, the search page (.html) would have a form:
<form action="php.exe -f search.php">
<input type="text" name="keywords" size="25">
<input type="submit">
</form>
The search.php file would then search the flat file or data source and generate a list of results.
Is this possible?
One thing I had thought of to try was using the GET method and parsing $argv[1], assuming that would
be where the query string would show up. Would that work? Is there another way to do this?
Thanks.
