I tried using ob_gzhandler for content I needed to create on the fly that was very large and
difficult (slow) to create. The browser aborted the download after 5 minutes of waiting, because my
script was still generating data. To work around this, I though I could use an ob_flush() call every
2 seconds of generated content to keep the browser busy. It worked nicely (and made a lot more of
sense) if I used ob_start() (no handler) ob_flush() (n times, as needed) and ob_end_flush().
However, when I tried to use the ob_gzhandler to compress the data, my browser (IE 6.0) interrupted
the transfer silently at random places of the file (giving the download as successful, since I could
not provide a Content-Length header in advance). I wonder if the handler has a bug when ob_flush()
is called multiple times, or it is a IE 6.0 bug.
