This is a problem that had me searching for the past 48 hours...
It's probably obvious for most of you, but if your $message starts with the word From, you will
get a > sign at the beginning of the email.
Don't ask *me* why!
I tried this on PHP 4.2.1 on Windows, and 4.1.1 on Linux, just to check.
This is my command:
mail($email, $subject, $message, $from);
You can try with this to check for yourself:
mail($your_email, "subject", "From php.net","From: Someone
<someone@whatever.com>\r\n");
It does the same!
Any idea ?
I guess it has something to do with having 2 strings start with the word From, but since the first
three arguments are in the right order, I don't see why the body would be interpreted as a
header.
