I was surprised to discover that the date function doesn't support am & pm in Associated
Press style, i.e.: a.m. and p.m. (see http://www.usu.edu/communic/faculty/sweeney/ap.htm)
- so I wrote a little function that might be useful to some:
function APtime($ampm) {
if ($ampm == "am") {
$ampm = "a.m.";
}
else {
$ampm = "p.m.";
};
return $ampm;
};
