note 25790 added to install.sambar

Hi Hereby a detailed Installation Guide for you all Sambarians. You do not have to put PHP in your system folder!!!!!! I find that keeping things in order is the best way to do it! First download PHP............. http://www.php.net/do_download.php?download_file=php-4.2.3-Win32.zip Now lets install it............ Let's say you have Sambar installed........ D:/sambar Create a folder called php D:/php In that folder.............. D:/php Place the following folder from the (php-4.2.3-Win32.ZIP) you downloaded, in that folder......... Place the following................. D:\php\extensions D:\php\browscap D:\php\JAVA Create the following folders and place them in the same directory... D:\php\temp D:\php\sessiondata D:\php\uploadtemp D:\php\log Open the folder you just created NAMED (log) in that folder......... D:\php\log create a (TEXT FILE) name it error.txt D:\php\log\error.txt Now in your php-4.2.3-Win32.ZIP you will see 2 files in the main directory called... php4ts.dll php4ts.lib Place them in the main php directory........ D:\php\php4ts.lib D:\php\php4ts.dll Now in the php-4.2.3-Win32.zip file you will see a folder called (dlls) open it up and find a file called.......... php4isapi.dll Place that file in the main php directory......... D:\php\php4isapi.dll Now in the zip file you will see a file called (php.ini-recommended) RENAME THE FILE......... php.ini-recommended TO.............. php.ini Now open php.ini up! search for............. ;error_log = filename Change that line to look like this!!!!!!!! error_log = D:\php\log\error.txt search for............. extension_dir = ./ Change that line to look like this!!!!!!!! extension_dir = D:\php\extensions Save Changes/Close the file (php.ini)...... Place that file...... in the OS ROOT......... ON NT........... C:\WINNT\php.ini ON 9X/XP C:\Windows\php.ini Now go to your Sambar SERVER (CONFIG DIRECTORY) Find the file called (mappings.ini)....... Open mappings.ini Add this under [isapi] *.php = D:\php\php4isapi.dll RESTART THE SERVER..............
