Alfter installing PHP 4.2.3 on Windows NT using Apache 1.3.27 and 2.0.43, extensions did not get
loaded.
After trying a lot of modifications in PHP.INI, including changes like using double backslash
"\\", single slash "/", appending slash at the end of the directory name, moving
php dlls and extensions from drive to drive, I discovered (sure I didn't read installation
instructions carefully) that PHP.INI must be copied to <b>WINNT</b> (on windows NT,
2000, XP) or <b>WINDOWS</b> (on Windows 95, 98, ME) directory, <b>NOT TO
WINNT\SYSTEM32</b> or <b>WINDOWS\SYSTEM</b>.
After moving PHP.INI to the correct place every thing worked as expected.
