How about this for putting getdate() into sql easily:
$today = $getdate();
$mm = $today["mon"];
$dd = $today["mday"];
$yyyy = $today["year"];
if($dd <10) {
$dd = "0$dd";
}
$xdate = "$yyyy-$mm-$dd";
works for me :)
