I have problem installing PHP as a module in Apache 2.0.x on Win2k. After restarting Apache I always
get the same message:
The requested operation has failed!
I tried everything listed here and some more :(
- someone told me PHP module doesnt work with Apache 2.0.39, so I upgraded to the newest 2.0.43
- I tried backslashes instead of slashes in: LoadModule php4_module c:/php/sapi/php4apache2.dll
- I downloaded new php4apache2.dll as linked here
- I tried moving php4apache2.dll into other places like Apache dir or Apache/modules dir
- I tried to rename it to *.so as someone pointed out...
- then I found a note that PHP 4.2.1 doest work with Apache 2 - so I upgraded to 4.2.3
Nothing works. After half a night away, I have given up - the CGI version works. If you have any
more hints, I will try them sometimes...
