When passing a variable to str_rot13() it doesn't only return the rot13 transform of that
variable, it also stores the resulting string back into the variable:
<?php
$testvar = "abc";
$testvar2 = str_rot13($testvar);
echo $testvar; // will show "nop"
?>
I don't know if it's just me, but I found that very odd. Version is 4.2.3
