I am working on Windows XP with Interbase 6 and PHP 4, and i have the same problem: Warning: InterBase: unavailable database in c:\apache group\apache\htdocs\sample\index.php on line 10 Solution: For the acction "ibase_connect" you have to specify the server where you are going to connect to, if the interbase server is a local server do the next: ibase_connect ( localhost:$trayectory_to_data_base_file, $username, $password); if the interbase server is not local please read the PHP documentation for the correct information on how to proced.
