surely hard coding the name of the parent class isn't too much of an issue - normally you would
hard code the parent class in the class definition, unless you are doing something weird like:
$parentclass = 'bar';
class newclass extends $parentclass {
...
}
$parentclass = 'foo';
class otherclass extends $parentclass {
...
}
not entirely sure why you'd want to do this (or if it would work), but even then you could do :
eval ("$parentclass::$parentclass();");
why on earth would you need to do this?
