Tried for two days straight to get PHP4 to work with PWS4 on Win98 . . . to no avail! I kept
getting the CGI Error: incomplete HTTP headers yadda yadda yadda:
Let me share with you the best piece of advice that I found on the web.
1) Go to "Control Panel" and uninstall PWS.
2) Go to http://badblue.com/helpphp.htm
3) Download BadBlue's personal server for FREE!!!!
4) Install BadBlue's server
5) After installing, your browser will open up to the localhost homepage (127.0.0.1).
6) Now you need to re-install PHP. Just use the installer, it's easy. Be sure to select the
"None (or other server)" option.
7) After PHP re-installs, go back to the browser and click on "PHP installation wizard
(NEW!)"
8) You've already done step 1, click next.
9) Step 2: Enter your path to php.exe (usually c:\php\php.exe), click next.
10) Step 3: Now you need to exit BadBlue (rightclick system tray icon), click the finish button (or
the "X" (close) button) to close the wizard, and restart BadBlue (in this order!)
11) When BadBlue restarts, go back to localhost in your browser and click on "Test PHP
support".
You should get a window telling you that BadBlue and PHP were configured correctly. If you have any
problems, e-mail me at tclong@uark.edu and I'll be glad to help.
MySQL also works like a charm in conjunction with BadBlue and PHP. HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN!!!
