note 26840 added to function.ora-logon

I am new to PHP and Oracle. I have installed Apache, PHP, and Oracle client. I have successfully viewed a PHP page from Apache. When I try to do the Ora_Logon(xxx@xxxx, xxx), I always get Fatal error: Call to undefined function: ora_login() Am I missing a module? Do I need to tell Apache where to find Oracle? A little nudge would be very much appreciated.
