matt at unlisted dot com, if that's the case then you could just use output buffering and catch
the output. like so,
<?
ob_start(); var_export($whatever); $to_be_exported=ob_get_contents(); ob_end_clean(); exit;
?>
$to_be_exported would then hold whatever you want formattted.
Note, var_export doesn't do a complete job tho. You need to actually add a ';' at the
end of the string you are returned to make it syntactically clean.
