Be carreful, PHP 4.3.0 introduces a bug in parsing of url :
If you want to parse an url with a port number
eg : http://user:password@host:8080 there is no
problem,
but if you want to parse an url with a query after port number (and without path),
eg : http://user:password@host:8080?test=a
It fails with a warning error.
Solution :
You *Must* put a trailing / after port number
eg : http://user:password@host:8080/?test=a
This bug was submit to bugs.php.net and, I hope will be corrected, since parse_url is no compliant
with RFC 2396 (Uniform Resource Identifiers (URI): Generic Syntax).
