Note that this function only works with a single variable, and absolutely nothing else. You
can't:
<?
empty("foo");
empty($foo."bar");
empty($foo.$bar);
empty(FOO); //FOO is a defined constant
empty(foo());
empty();
empty($foo=$foo.$bar) //thought you could be clever and get around it? no soup for you!
