In response to Colin's question:
When coding an HREF you need to use quotes around the path. To let PHP know that the quotes are
literal you need to use a backslash (\) in front of the quotation mark. To continue with
Colin's example:
$list .= "<tr><td width=700><center><a
href=\"$file\">$file</a></center></td></tr>";
