I have had some trouble with $DOCUMENT_ROOT on my webserver and I could not use that in the path for
the require() function.
I tried the total http address and that still didn't work, it would not recognize the
functions..
I don't know if this is just something done by the server but if you have this problem,
creating a .htaccess file like above works perfectly.
