file and readfile exhibit bizzarre behavior when dealing with some XML tags (php4.2.2).
Try this.
Create a file called test.xml with the following.
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<Address>someaddress</Address>
Then call either
readfile("./test.xml");
or
print implode("",file("./test.xml)) ;
What you will get is
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<Address>someaddress</address>
Notice the lowercase </address>
For some reason it converts the uppercase </Address> to a lowercase </address>
