In response to the permission statements in the post by drtebi@yahoo.com, you can set permissions to
something 0 for other (i.e. 770). You just need to make sure that the Apache user is part of the
group that owns the files.
It might not seem like a big deal, but it is a little bit more secure - and every little bit counts.
