to handle my nested includes I do the folowing:

$documenr_dir = getcwd();
chdir("/<my_absolute_include_path>")
<myincludes>
chdir($documenr_dir);
?>
This alows me to nest includes reguardless of the directory of the original document without
interfering with the current directory once the original document gets controll back.
