note 22547 deleted from install.apache by betz

With apache 1.3.2.4 and up using PHP 4.2.1 I have noticed several users who have complained about being prompted to download their php files after installing this version. After doing numerous fresh installs following this document, I have noticed one thing that did not work right. On my installs I used mod_ssl and the instructions that came with it. Every time I would ./apachectl stop and ./apachectl start, I would still be prompted to download the files. To fix this, I added: AddModule mod_php4.c to my httpd.conf file where the other AddModule entries were. I ensured that mod_php4.c was in the proper place according to the LoadModule order. I hope this helps, and maybe someone can investigate this further. On #php on irc.openprojects.net and #phpfreak, I have seen about 10 users with this same problem in the last 3 weeks. Either something is wrong or this documentation needs to be updated. Good luck!
