I ran across an authentication script that uses MD5 for the password. I had never used it, so I
looked it up. It still looks to me like you would want to use crypt($pass, $salt) for storing your
passwords in your database table, and then use something like:
$sql = "SELECT username FROM users WHERE username = '$user' AND password =
'crypt($pass, $salt)'";
to retreive it.
