Hey 'martinom at walshsimmons dot co dot uk',
I had the same problem of not being able to use the thousands comma removal method that is listed
above and I am using PHP4. I don't know why this is the case, but I can't use numerical
comparison on my variable either. My best guess is that the number is stored as a string instead of
a float within the PHP. I just used substr() to get around the problem. I'm not a PHP expert,
so if this is wrong, please let me know. It works for me though.
