note 29239 added to function.ftp-mkdir

Works great, but is there a way to set the permissions to 0777 right after creating the directory? I can't get mkdir() and chmod() to work on my server due to permissions and safe mode restriction. That's why I need to create folders with ftp_mkdir(), but unlike mkdir() I can't control the permissions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
