Just incase anyone (like me) has been pulling their hair out, the PHP RPM that comes with Mandrake
9.0 has a bug in this function. I couldn't find out very much info about it, other than this
post: http://jonroig.com/modules.php
?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=73
(NB had to split the URL above as the add-note.php file moaned that the line was too long - bug fix
please!!)
Not sure about the scope of this bug, but if I try to create a Content-Type header of any text/*
(e.g. text/plain, text/css) it just reverts to text/html.
I'm trying to get my CSS files to be PHP parsed, and it does work (with correct .htaccess
settings etc.) but the content type is listed as text/html despite the first line of the file being
a header() call!! IE still processes the file as CSS (let's see when a virus exploits this!!),
but Mozilla refuses (quite rightly).
Not sure if it is the Mandrake build or the PHP version, but the RPM is php-4.2.3-1.1mdk
This isn't our server BTW, just a development station.
