note 29783 added to function.chmod

I have to edit a php file so that a script can write to it. It asked me to set the right permissions so the script can write to it. I am basically trying to install forums on my php server, and this is part of the install process. Only problem is I don’t know how to edit this file so it is writable to the script...can you help? I would really appriciate it.... -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.chmod.php http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+29783 http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+29783 http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+29783
