If this is deprecated, what is replacing it? --- I am trying to parse a very large series of files
for uniform data using PHP (granted, I could use the console version instead of browser-based) and
I'm gettign timeouts... I understnad I can go into my php.ini or .htaccess -- but I want to be
able to do it per function call or at least per page, when I need to without modifying anything else
in the php setup....
What if I was on a hosted server with no rights to mod my php.ini ? .... Anyone?
