refering to bruce@iname.com post about converting mysql timestamp to unix timestamp, there's a
simple solution just use this: $result=mysql_db_query(DB_NAME,"select
unix_timestamp(timestampcolumn) as whatever from Table");
$row=mysql_fetch_array($result);

in this case, $row["whatever"]==UNIX timestamp as in mkttime
