I am having the same problem with loosing connections to a remove mysql server with PHP 4.3.1 but I
am using the IP and still have problems. Any ideas on how to fix this? I asked on the main PHP
mailing list and nobody replied. I can't believe this is not a major problem that very few are
getting it.
